The movie starts with one of the only intact families in the Disney canon. Princesses Anna and Elsa have two loving and living parents, and they are happily ensconced in Arendale’s royal palace.
There are several worrisome agendas at play in this sequel to beloved children’s classic Mary Poppins, each in its own oh-so-special way toxic and demoralizing for youngsters and grownups alike.
